it's about belts and pulleys. a thin belt of length L surrounds two pulleys of radii R and r.
(show that the angle in radians where belt crosses itself satisfies the equation) -->
O + 2 cot O/2 = L/(R+r) - pi
where O is theta..
eto yung di alam...
suppose R=2.42 r=1.21 and L=27.78 (in ft.) Find theta.
note: the center of R and r are collinear.. ( i mean in a horizontal line..) (also the distance between the two circles is not defined.) | |
